Does it matter where people get saved?

15 February 2018
Dear Friends,

We are getting closer and closer to our departure for our next outreach and missions trip to the USA. Does it matter where people get saved? That is a question I have asked myself time after time for years now. It seems like too many people think that it is more important to preach the Gospel and reach out to people in India, Africa and The Philippines for an example. What about our own people? What about the youth of today? What about those who are struggling with addictions of drugs and alcohol? What about those ones who have taken the wrong path and they are sitting in prison? The questions are many and I just have one answer and that is that all people are worth the same.

10 years of ministry

This year it is 10 years since our ministry started and since then we have believed in our calling. It was about the same time when The Holy Spirit revealed the importance of sharing a true miracle story with the people in need. Jesus, Himself is talking:

"Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.

Then they also will answer Him,saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

As you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. Those words are heavy and those words are one of the foundations of our ministry. We often see preachers travel around talking to thousands of people and it is more and more becoming like a show. It is sad but true.

We have seen it now for 10 years how God has opened doors for our ministry, NOT to preach to big crowds. Instead we visit those who Jesus is referring to, the least. It does not matter if we are doing a youth group with 50 people, a recovery evening with 120 people or a detox center with a small group of five people. We do NOT do this for the money and we do NOT get paid to do these visits. We do it from the bottom of our hearts as we have been there ourselves. What can be better to serve those who are in hunger for hope than a true story about a changed life where Jesus is the head person of the story? This is what it is all about and this is what God has laid on our hearts to do.

Why America? We get that question all the time and the answer is simple: We go to those places where God has opened the doors. It is a huge difference for us to come into the USA from the other side of the world, having an accent and be just like we are. We do not understand it ourselves but the way God is using us in other countries is very different than in our own stomping grounds. This is the reason why we continue to travel to other nations as we believe that it does not matter where people are getting saved.

Life could be much easier without having to think about how we are going to finance our next missions trip and where we are going to get the money. Actually we do not need this stress and drama every time we are about to leave. The only reason we still do it is that after every trip we have done we look back and thank God for what He has done and that He has used people like us. We need no glory or fame. We already have everything we need. Our names are written in the Lambs book of life and that is the most valuable thing we ever can get.

It is the questions: what about the others out there? Who are going to tell them about Jesus? Do they have someone to connect to? Who are going to reach those? These questions are why we keep doing what we are doing and we serve the Lord with a thankful heart.

We are still $5000 short for our upcoming trip and we hope that this is something WE CAN DO TOGETHER. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If it was not for the calling and the urge we could just stay at home and mess around with old junk cars but one persons salvation and live is so much worth that we can not afford to do that.

What we have seen and experienced these last 10 years is amazing. The reason we do not share ”numbers and facts” is that we have no clue about the truth. Only God knows what has happened and we rejoice with every testimony of a transformed life we get to hear about. Never forget that it could be your child or relative who is one of these least that needs to get the revelation of Jesus Christ.

We are looking forward to work together!
God Bless You All!

2018 is a challenge. The first two months we have a budget of $2000 to do what we have planned. For the mission America trip in March we have a goal to reach $8000 and for the German dates we are looking at reaching $2500. This makes a total of $12500 for the first half of the year and we are two people doing this full time. Not as a job or work. This is our life.
