It sure was a challenge

Dear Friends,

We are now on our way home from one of the most challenging missions trips in our history of ministry. Lets forget himalayan bragging pastors witch hunts and face the facts.

Last week when we reported we had just visited the high security prison in Kybartai, Lithuania. Next day we drove to the capitol city Vilnius where we first shared live on radio about what Jesus has done in our lives and that He is able. Nothing is impossible for Jesus. The same evening we had an outreach with the people from Revival Church in Vilnius at the main square. It was an interesting evening but a little bit too cold to play guitar and sing outdoors. We still made it and drove back to Marijampole where we had our base during our town in Lithuania.

On Wednesday we returned to the city of Vilkaviskis and had an outreach on the main square there. This trip has been lots about outreach. It was a good time and from there we drove to the city of Kaunas where we spent the evening with some wonderful people from Full Gospel Fellowship. I mean this was something wonderful!

On Thursday we left early as we wanted to catch a ferry in Tallinn so we could be home late the same night. Half an hour north of Riga in Latvia we had our second major breakdown this trip. Our SAAB that had taken us from Sweden and 5000 kilometers through Europe after our van Rock Force One broke down gave up. This is the middle of nowhere and honestly I have to say that I lost it and was near to cry as I wanted to go home so badly. Of course nobody stopped and wanted to help us get the car off the road on a high traffic road, they just honked and yelled at us. The spot was dangerous. Finally I decided to stop a car and they helped us to tow the car to a small place where we rented a cottage and started to figure out what to do.

We thought about buying a car and drive home but we were in the middle of nowhere. I called our brothers at Ahola Transport and asked if they had a truck coming that direction that could pick up our stuff and ship it home. We carry lots of equipment. They called us back in a while and told us that they have sent a van from Tallinn to pick us up and that they will ship our stuff to our home in Finland.

Three hours later we were picked up and on our way to Tallinn where we unloaded the van and checked in at a local hotel. This morning we got up and walked on board of the ferry to Helsinki. In Helsinki our brother Linus Mickelsson picked us up and spent some time with us before he took us to the train station. Now we are sitting on the train and we have a couple of more hours before we are home.

I am thinking about christians and christianity of today. Without our brothers from Ahola Transport and Brother Linus we would not have made it. Without a few wonderful people contributing to our expenses we would not have afforded to take the ferry or train. This is what I call christianity and the hands and feet of Jesus. None of these people are bragging about what they did for us. They will get they reward in heaven and I know it is going to be great.

We have now been on the road more or less since mid February. We are going to take some time off and spend some quality time at home. I will be working on the new album as well as writing a new book. We have some events this summer but we are going to take it easy until the record is ready this fall and it is time to return out of Finland. Thank you all for your prayers and support!
